We’ve always been proud to be a place that brings people from all over the world together. A home, purpose-built for making connections, where people make friends, collaborate on ideas and collectively share in an unrivalled event experience. Social distancing may change how your event looks, but it doesn’t need to change how it feels.
We have developed a range of enhancements and solutions to help you create the best socially distanced event experience possible during these times and into the future.
Social distancing has now become normal and expected in today’s world. Our large-capacity rooms and spacious foyers have enabled us to find new and creative ways to optimise space for traditional and hybrid events. All seating plans aim to maximise the use of space, while also providing a productive, safe and compliant event. So, whether you’re looking for a classroom or theatre style, have an exhibition or a banquet, we can deliver this for you in a safe manner.
A key part of any event is the hospitality offering. To maximise the use of space, we recommend staggering lunch times or offering a range of food options throughout the day. This allows you to use a smaller space for dining, freeing up larger spaces for your event sessions. We have also implemented changes across our menu, service and seating arrangements to ensure a safe experience for your delegates without compromise. Hospitality teams will wear full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), with Perspex screens between them and delegates, as standard. We can also collaborate with you to create a bespoke solution that meets the needs of your event.
During the period when social distancing guidelines remain at two metres, building large stands may be difficult. However, we will work with clients and suppliers to ensure floor plans and building schedules are done in a safe and compliant way. We have developed options for the immediate future that are focused on conversation and face-to-face interaction, allowing exhibitors to continue to engage and network with delegates. These options also offer you the possibility of using other spaces in the building, such as foyers or smaller event halls, for your exhibition.
We can help you merge both the physical and digital aspects of an event, so if a delegate is logging on from their home or office, they can still experience all the event has to offer. We know that virtual events and conferences are about more than just streaming your talks out as webinars. We will focus on recreating the live event, with digital interaction, exposure to sponsorships, the opportunity to network and much more. We have a menu of services available from recording and high-level production to exhibitions, networking and chatrooms. All options can be fully managed on your behalf. Holding and taking part in events in complete safety is a key concern for all organisers and attendees. The health and safety of all who come to The CCD is our priority. We have introduced a number of measures, in line with local Government and health authority guidelines, to ensure all who attend events at The CCD feel comfortable and safe. We are also following expert guidance jointly developed by AIPC, ICCA and UFI in relation to re-opening business events. New safety measures include hand sanitisation stations at all entry points into the building, social distancing signage and floor markers, and frequent and thorough cleaning of all rooms, touchpoints and equipment.
