What to Expect at The CCD 

Safety is our key priority when it comes to hosting socially-distant and hybrid events. We want everyone that comes into The Convention Centre Dublin, including our own staff and suppliers, as well as clients and delegates, to feel comfortable and safe. 

From the moment you step foot inside our expansive atrium, you'll be greeted by a sense of immense space. All three levels of our auditorium and all halls open out to one of five spacious foyer areas. In addition, our air filtration system circulates external fresh air throughout the buildling.

Here are just some of the additional measures we've taken to ensure paramount levels of safety onsite.

Sanitisation 1


We have hand sanitisation stations at all entry points to the building, and have enhanced the frequency of cleaning rooms, equipment and touchpoints before, during and after each event. Toilets and handwashing facilities are available on each level, with a social distance of 2 metres between stalls, urinals and sinks.

Seating and Layouts

Seating options and capacities for conferences, meetings and banquets have all been adapted to adhere to 2 metre social distancing guidelines. In the auditorium, some rows and seats are cordoned off to ensure delegates remain 2 metres apart. Entry and exit flows in and out of all halls will be designated in advance, using signage, floor markings, and our CCD Hosts, where required. 


Signage 1


There are floor markings throughout the Ground Floor Foyer, at escalators, in lifts and at queuing points to indicate social distancing. Our digital signage units throughout the buildling will display health and safety notices to encourage good hygiene practices, in line with local health authority guidelines. 


Hospitality 1


Coffee, buffet and service stations have been increased, and we can facilitate staggered break and mealtimes to minimise queuing and gatherings of people. Our Hospitality teams wear full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and there are Perspex screens between them and delegates. All our meals individually packaged, and cutlery sets are single use and compostable.
