COVID-19 statement update 31 January 2022

31 January 2022 – On 22 January, the Irish government announced that almost all COVID-19 restrictions in Ireland will come to an end.

Indoor events can now take place and venues can operate at full capacity. This includes conferences, live entertainment, live music and indoor sporting events. The requirement to have a valid Digital COVID Certificate to enter various premises was also removed, along with formal requirements for social distancing of 2 metres.

Face coverings will still be required in certain settings, including public transport, shops and hospitality settings.

We support the national and international efforts against this virus and continue to follow public health advice.
