Dublin - June 29, 2011 - Tickets for 9/11: Ireland Remembers commemorative concert at The Convention Centre Dublin are now on sale from TicketMaster. Hosted on Sunday, September 11, 2011, this event will mark the ten year anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11.
The programme of poignant and moving music is presented by Ireland’s Enchiriadis Treis Choir accompanied by the National Philharmonia Orchestra. The event will also incorporate spoken reflections delivered by invited guests from Irish public life and the arts. Theinitiative is part of Global Sing for Peace, the New York Lincoln Centre’s link for 10th anniversary concerts globally.
Proceeds from the event will go toThe Ark, A Cultural Centre for Children, which is based in Dublin’s Temple Bar. The money raised will fund Harmony, a new three year initiative to help children in marginalised communities engage with high quality musical experiences, to promote social inclusion, diversity and peace building.
