DUBLIN – September 6, 2010 – The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) announced today that it was chosen as the venue for Globe Forum, which will be hosted by Dublin City as part of its annual Innovation Festival. The event, taking place on November 17 and 18, is an international marketplace conference around the challenge of how cities can harness innovation and build economies that are Smarter and Greener.
Supported by a wide range of industry players, Government and academia, this event will turn the international spotlight on Ireland’s unique talent for research, innovation and global change leadership. Globe Forum is an organization dedicated to promoting innovation especially around the use of technology to solve current and future urban challenges. Founded in Sweden it works to highlight globally the rich vein of innovation that exists in cities like Dublin. This year Globe Forum Dublin will take place during Dublin’s Innovation Festival from November 10 - 20, which will help show the world how Dublin and Ireland are at the cutting edge of innovation. Attracting over 1000 delegates, including innovators, investors, researchers and leaders of business and government, this event will create an innovative marketplace to share ideas, network and help develop sustainable businesses around the world.
