The CCD does it again at the M&IT Awards!
The Convention Centre Dublin wins the Gold Award for ‘Best Overseas Conference Centre’ at the M&IT Industry Awards 2019.
DUBLIN – 04 March 2019 – The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) has won the Gold Award for ‘Best Overseas Conference Centre’ at the M&IT Industry Awards 2019, which took place on Friday 1 March at the Battersea Evolution, London. This is the ninth year in a row that The CCD has won an award in this category.
The M&IT Industry Awards are voted for by readers of the Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine and recognise and reward excellence in the industry. The CCD, having won the Gold Award on six previous occasions, beat off stiff competition this year from five other convention centres including, Fira Barcelona, Grimaldi Forum Monaco and the RAI Amsterdam.
Picking up the award Stephen Meehan, Chief Executive of The CCD, said, “We are delighted to win this award again and we are grateful to everyone who voted for us. The M&IT Awards are particularly significant as they are voted for by UK event organisers, so this is a massive endorsement from our clients in the UK market, particularly given the strong competition this year.”
This is the ninth year running that The CCD has won at the M&IT Awards and the ‘Best Overseas Conference Centre 2019’ addition brings the total number of industry awards the venue has achieved to 41.
