Award recognises The CCD and Dublin’s continued success as a world-class business events destination.

DUBLIN – 23 October 2025 – The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) has been voted Europe’s Leading Meetings & Conference Centre 2025 at the 32nd annual World Travel Awards.
The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) has been awarded Europe’s Leading Meetings and Conference Centre 2025 at World Travel Awards, reaffirming its position as one of Europe’s leading venues for international conferences and events.
This accolade highlights Dublin’s ongoing appeal as a premier business tourism destination, with Ireland proudly represented among this year’s winners, including Trinity College, Teeling Whiskey Distillery, Luttrellstown Castle and Central Belfast Apartments.
The announcement was made by the World Travel Awards during a ceremony held in Sardinia on Wednesday 22 October.
Accepting the award on behalf of the team, Suzanne McGann, Director of Marketing and Communications at The CCD, said, “I’m delighted to accept this award on behalf of everyone at The CCD. It’s particularly meaningful as it’s voted for by our peers and clients across the industry. I’d like to thank our team in Dublin and everyone who voted for us. It’s also great to see so many other winners from Dublin here tonight, highlighting the strength of its business events community.
Reflecting on the broader meetings and events industry, Ms. McGann added, “Ireland continues to perform strongly as a destination for international conferences and events. At The CCD, we’re focused on delivering exceptional experiences for our clients while planning for future growth, with events enquiring out as far as 2032. Collaboration with our partners and the wider Irish business tourism sector is crucial, as we continue to promote Dublin as a world-class place to meet and do business.”
The CCD triumphed over strong competition from venues across Europe, including Berlin ExpoCenter City, Germany, ExCeL London, Fira Barcelona, Grimaldi Forum Monaco and Palais des Congrès de Paris, and now progresses to the next stage of the World Travel Awards.
Voted for by travel and tourism professionals and consumers, the World Travel Awards celebrate excellence across the global events industry and recognise organisations that consistently deliver exceptional service and quality.
