Dublin - May 31, 2011 - Today, The Convention Centre Dublin announced that it will host an entertainment event following the annual Hospice Moonwalk on June 25.

Supported by Newstalk 106-108 fm & Irish Rail, the event aims to raise funds for Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services, Harold’s Cross & Blackrock and St Francis Hospice Raheny and Blanchardstown. The walk beings at 8.30pm, Southside Moonwalkers begin their walk from Blackrock Park (Booterstown DART station end) and Northsiders from the Causeway at Bettyglen, meeting up at The Convention Centre Dublin at around 10pm.

Keynotes will provide the musical entertainment and the evening will end at 11pm with a one minutes silence for friends and loved ones, led by Newstalk’s Sile Seoige.

Irish Rail have sponsored Moonwalk Smart Cards for all participants, which offers a free dart trip home on the night.

Registration is available at Moonwalk website up until the 18th June and limited late participants can be looked after on location on the night.  Registration is €50 for individuals (additional sponsorship is optional) and €75 for families.
