The Convention Centre Dublin to host ESCAP 2013

Dublin – 8 October, 2012 – The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) announced today that it will host the 15th International Congress of the European Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (ESCAP 2013) on 6th-10th July 2013. Hosted by the College of Psychiatry of Ireland, this bi-annual four-day event will welcome over 2,000 delegates, many of whom will be visiting Ireland for the first time from across Europe and further afield.

ESCAP 2013 will place a particular emphasis on the themes of New Research, Quality of Care and Policy in the CAP field across Europe. Speakers already confirmed include Dr Kathleen Merikangas from the US National Institute of Mental Health, Professor Louise Gallagher from the Irish National Children’s Hospital, Professor Jan Buitelaar from Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre in The Netherlands, and Professor Tobias Banaschewski from the Central Institute of Mental Health in Germany.

The ESCAP Congress will be open for child and adolescent psychiatrists and colleagues who are working in the CAP field, such as psychologists, nurses, teachers, policy makers and other professionals that are working with children and adolescents.
