Dublin – 30 November, 2012 – The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) has won the ‘Business of the Year Award’ at the Docklands Business Forum Awards 2012. The awards were presented last night at the Gibson Hotel. Now in their second year, the Docklands Business Forum Awards celebrate the role business plays in the local Docklands community.

“The Docklands Business of the Year Award was won by the Convention Centre Dublin because of its success in promoting business tourism into Ireland,” said Alan Robinson, Chairman, Docklands Business Forum. “The Award also acknowledges The CCD’s use of the latest technology, the organisation’s high standards in service delivery and the positive contribution these elements make to the Docklands business brand.”

“We are very proud of this award, which marks our 21st award since opening in 2010,” said Nick Waight, CEO, The CCD. “It is particularly special to receive recognition from the local business community in which we operate. We have received a very warm welcome from everyone in the Docklands area and look forward to having a positive impact on business and community in this area for many years to come.”
