Coronavirus COVID-19 statement update 09 September 2021

09 September 2021 – On Tuesday 31 August, the Irish government announced that the country will begin to ease restrictions, with a plan to end most COVID-19 restrictions by 22 October 2021.

From 6 September, indoor events can take place with 60% of the venue’s maximum capacity, provided all the people attending are fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 6 months. This includes conferences, live entertainment, live music and indoor sporting events.

From 22 October, it is expected that vaccination / recovery certificates to enter a venue will no longer be required and restrictions on numbers attending indoor events will no longer apply.

Face coverings will still be required in certain settings, including public transport and shops, and vaccination or recover certificates must be used for international travel.

We support the national and international efforts against this virus and will follow public health advice.
