London – International Confex 2012 – Stand B911 – March 6, 2012 – The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) announced today that it will host the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland in 2013. Scheduled from 18-20 September, this event is set to attract over 800 international and 200 national delegates.

“The Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland is delighted to be coming to Dublin on 18-20 September 2013 for their Annual Congress,” said Dr. Samantha Shinde, Chair of the AAGBI Education Committee. “Dublin will be a real draw for our delegates; with easy accessibility, plenty of culture and an exciting scientific programme planned. Our Annual Congress changes venue every year, and we are thrilled that our Irish colleagues have a chance to be the host city for our 2013 event”.

This 3-day congress will consist of plenary, parallel scientific sessions as well as an industry exhibition to promote and advance education, safety and research in anaesthesia and the opportunity to network within the industry.

“It is an honour to be hosting such a prestigious association conference at The CCD,” said Catherine Newhall-Caiger, Director of International Sales, The Convention Centre Dublin. “This event will host multiple streams of lectures, hand-on workshops and the annual dinner and dance.  It is interesting to note that our UK association clients have reported an increase in delegate attendance when they have staged their events at The CCD and I hope that the AAGBI will benefit in this way too.”
