The CCD hosted a launch event for one of the most widely recognised convenience store brands in the world, Circle K formerly Topaz with presence across 20 countries. This event was the companies unveiling of their new brand to employees, partners, suppliers and customers.<\/strong><\/p>\n Delegates: 820 Brief<\/strong><\/p>\n Circle K is one of the most widely recognised convenience store brands in the world with presence across 20 countries. Formerly Topaz, Ireland\u2019s largest fuel and convenience brand with 420 stores across the country, Circle K wanted to host an event to officially launch its brand to employees, partners, suppliers and customers ahead of the launch on the Irish market.\u00a0 It was looking for a high-profile, easily accessible venue that it could take over exclusively to showcase and highlight the new brand at its best. It also needed a venue that offered the flexibility and capability to bring in a range of different equipment and supplier exhibition stands.<\/p>\n Solution<\/strong><\/p>\n The CCD was selected to host the one-day launch event and Circle K engaged local Event Management agency, Mavrix, to help deliver the event\u2019s requirements. During a series of detailed planning meetings with The CCD\u2019s Event, Hospitality and Technical teams, the event was turned around within a six-month timeframe.<\/p>\n On 13 April 2018, Circle K took over the entire building and made it its own, by branding and utilising meeting spaces effectively. Upon entering the building, the Ground Floor Foyer proudly displayed the Circle K brand via custom registration desks and a large floor sign, which could clearly be seen from each of the venue\u2019s five foyers above.<\/p>\n Circle K also used The CCD\u2019s high-res digital signage system to its full advantage, in one of the most effective displays of event signage the venue has ever seen. It featured a widescreen video that was split, synced and looped across multiple screens. The CCD also facilitated and co-ordinated the installation of a large amount of custom equipment including two cars on the ground floor foyer, a full-scale car wash, and multiple supplier stands.<\/p>\n As a full-site let, Circle K had the entire venue at its disposal, and The CCD Events team helped the client utilise every foyer, hall and room to best suit the needs of the event.<\/p>\n Registration took place on the ground floor foyer, followed by a breakfast reception on the first-floor foyer overlooking the River Liffey. Tiered seating was specially installed in Liffey Hall A for plenary sessions, while a hard-walled and roofed marquee was erected in the adjoining Liffey Hall B to house a mock retail store.<\/p>\n Delegates networked while enjoying an Asian-style lunch on the foyers, and the day finished with a celebratory closing session complete with confetti cannons in the Auditorium. \u00a0Following an evening break, delegates were invited back on-site for a gala dinner where they were greeted by impressive exterior projections on the front fa\u00e7ade of the building.<\/p>\n Inside, the Forum on the ground floor was transformed into a circular-shaped room using LED lighting strips hung from special ceiling trusses, innovative room draping and curved widescreens to host a sumptuous gala dinner, after which the event finished.<\/p>\n The CCD team worked through the night to turn the rooms around and get ready for another event the following day.<\/p>\n Results<\/strong><\/p>\n The event attracted over 800 delegates from across the country. Every aspect of the event, from the initial sales process, through to overall impressions and experience of The CCD were rated \u201cexcellent\u201d by Mavrix in its customer feedback report. In particular, it referred to the \u201camazing support\u201d, \u201cgreat experience\u201d and \u201csuper\u201d service received from The CCD\u2019s Event Management, Technical and Hospitality teams.<\/p>\n The CCD prides itself on its flexibility and high levels of service. As a blank canvas venue, it is always willing to find alternative and innovative ways to utilise space and branding capabilities to best meet client needs.<\/p>\n
