Welcome to one of the most technically sophisticated convention centres in the world.
When you enter The CCD, you will quickly realise that you have come to one of the finest and most flexible conference venues in the world.
Whatever your event – a conference, meeting, exhibition, banquet or entertainment production – we have the technical equipment and expertise to bring that event to life and deliver a memorable experience.
Every hall, meeting room and boardroom is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment from some of the world’s leading technical manufacturers including d & b , Midas, Digico, Wholehog, Avolite, ETC, Martin Lighting and Christie Projectors.
Access
To help bring in all your production equipment, we have dedicated vehicle access into The CCD for commercial vehicles, plus truck and van lifts. A forklift truck is also available for hire.
Communications
Helping you to keep in touch with colleagues and staff, we utilise ClearCom 4 channel main stations and hardwired radios.
Lighting
With house and stage lighting, we have an extremely versatile computerised lighting system designed to bring your event to life. Using some of the most sophisticated equipment available today, we can programme lighting to sound tracks, flash gobos across the floor or create colour washes to reflect your brand.
Power supplies
From 13amp sockets up to a maximum load of 32amps, we have plenty of power for your event. And just in case you need a particularly large power supply, such as a single phase 32amp supply, we can usually accommodate this as well.
Projection
Our largest projection screen is a massive 5.25m deep X 7m wide using a Christie projector, giving a whole new meaning to wide screen high definition.
Rigging
Whether you want to hang a banner, a lighting rig or even a car during a product launch extravaganza we have the hall and rigging to suit you.
Seating
Comfortable seating is vital for the enjoyment of your event, which is why we have carefully selected a range of seats that are designed with the delegate in mind.
The Auditorium, with tiered seating for 2,000, features the latest in seat design with the ‘eight-hour chair’, arguably the most comfortable chair for the conference market. Delegates also have the added advantage of being able to use flip up desk tops, so they can write and type from the comfort of their seat.
Simultaneous interpretation
In the stunning Auditorium, seven interpretation booths can translate your event for all your international visitors to appreciate.
Staffing
We offer the technical expertise to ensure that you can easily avail of all this equipment with the guidance of your dedicated Technical Production Manager.
Staging and Settings
A wide range of stages are available for your event, along with settings such as lecterns, top tables and drapes. Our stunning Auditorium has a Proscenium-style theatre stage with fly tower and safety curtain.
Sound
From mixing consoles and amplifiers to wireless microphones and loud speakers, we will help get your message across loud and clear.
Video and Data
We have a complete video and data capability, giving you a great degree of flexibility and control such as playing your company video or presentation whilst at the same time having speaker support via discreet auto cues on stage.
