Career Zoo 2012 to take place at The Convention Centre Dublin.

DUBLIN – 28 August, 2012 – Now its fourth event, Career Zoo is taking place in The Convention Centre Dublin on 22 September.

Career Zoo is established as Ireland's leading career event for professionals and graduates who are seeking new career opportunities in Ireland. Thousands of delegates attend Career Zoo events where they meet many of Ireland's most successful and innovative employers, education providers and enterprise organisations.

“September’s Career Zoo will be bigger and better than our previous events,” said Brian Ó hOisín, director at Career Zoo. “We’re very excited to be heading down to the Convention Centre; it’s a world-class venue right in the city centre and we see this event as a national showcase of the great opportunities that are out there in Ireland today.”

Ó hOisín is anticipating between 3,500 and 4,000 professional jobs will be on offer at the upcoming Career Zoo, coming from major multinational corporations, as well as indigenous Irish companies. Educators and enterprise organisations will also be in attendance to provide information on upskilling and conversion programmes, while careers workshops and seminars by industry leaders will be held throughout the day.

Attendees have the opportunity to:

  • meet leading employers that are hiring now for jobs in Ireland;
  • talk to top course providers about professional courses, up-skilling and conversion programmes;
  • get information on supports and funding to start their own business;
  • attend exciting and informative career workshops and seminars by industry leaders; and
  • get one-to-one advice at the Career Clinic.

There will also be interview and networking areas and an interactive zone featuring products and services (including some fun stuff) from Ireland's most innovative organisations.

In addition, circa 500 PhD and postdoc candidates will be in attendance as part of the Irish Research Council’s annual symposium at Career Zoo.
