The CCD chosen to host Radiodays Europe 2014

DUBLIN – 28 March 2013 – The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) has been chosen to host the world’s largest international radio conference, Radiodays Europe, from 23 – 25 March 2014.

Radiodays Europe provides a central meeting point for the European public service and commercial radio industry to come together and work towards ‘making radio better for listeners’. The 3-day event, the largest and most important radio conference in Europe, offers delegates access to expert speakers and sessions on a wide range of topics including audience behavior, digital platforms, business models and programming and formatting. It’s also used as an arena for radio professionals to meet, network and find inspiration on current issues affecting the industry, as well as to discuss future developments and new technologies.

Radiodays Europe has been hosted in Copenhagen, Barcelona and Berlin, and for the 5th edition of the event, it comes to Dublin, the first English speaking host city. To date the event has grown year-on-year, with the 2013 conference in Berlin attracting 1,200 participants from 50 countries.

The event is welcomed to Dublin by the Independent Broadcasters of Ireland (IBI) and Irish public broadcaster RTÉ, in association with BBC Northern Ireland. The event is set to draw at least 1,200 delegates from throughout Europe.

“Dublin is a wonderful destination and the venue is state-of-the-art and suitable for Radiodays Europe. This, and the dedication of our Irish radio partners, will make sure that Radiodays Europe 2014 will be an extraordinary experience” comments Anders Held, Head, International Relations, Swedish RadioandProject Manager, Radiodays Europe.
