The Convention Centre Dublin Confirms 90 Events in 6 Months

32 International Conferences worth €55.5 million to the local Irish economy

DUBLIN – 21 December 2016 –  The Convention Centre Dublin has secured 90 events in the last six months, including 32 international conferences, forecast to generate €55.5 million for the local Irish economy and to attract over 37,000 international delegates to Dublin. 

International association conferences include the 13th International Conference on Low Vision 2020, Velo-city 2019, the 19th European Congress of Neurosurgery 2019, Security Printers International Conference and Exhibition 2018, European SharePoint Conference 2017 and the 13th European Peritoneal Dialysis Meeting 2017.

Paul Carnell, Sales Director at The CCD commented, “We are delighted to have secured such a large number of conferences in recent months. We are very proud of the contribution these events will make to the Irish economy and look forward to welcoming the many visitors and delegates from a range of industries and areas. We would like to thank our industry partners Dublin Convention Bureau for their tremendous support in securing several of these events.”

The CCD also confirmed a number of international corporate conferences including Spark Summit Europe, Microsoft Tech Gathering and BioProduction Congress.

The European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) will bring its Velo-city conference series to Dublin over four days in 2019 attracting 2,000 cycling enthusiasts. Velo-city conferences are widely considered as the premier international cycling conference series and serve as a global communications and information platform.

About the 19th European Congress of Neurosurgery
The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies bring EANS 2019 to Dublin for five days in September 2019. The conference will facilitate the exchange of scientific information for over 2,000 neurosurgeons from around the world.

About Security Printers International Conference and Exhibition 2018
Intergraf’s three-day conference takes place in March 2018 attracting over 600 delegates. The conference facilitates the exchanging of views and experiences between companies producing banknotes and security documents, their suppliers and their customers in central banks and passport and ID document issuing authorities as well as law enforcement.

About the European SharePoint Conference 2017
Over four days in November 2017, ESPC will welcome 2,000 attendees to The CCD. The SharePoint and Office 365 Conference gathers the leading MVPs, MCMs, Microsoft team members, Business Decision Makers, CIOs and CTOs from around the world in one European location.

About the 13th European Peritoneal Dialysis Meeting
The 13th EuroPD meeting will be held in association with the Irish Society of Nephrology in October 2017 with 1,400 delegates expected to attend the four day conference. EuroPD is the largest European-based conference dedicated to home-based renal replacement therapies.
