DUBLIN - December 21, 2010 - Today, The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) hosted a special Christmas concert to thank local schools for their submissions for The CCD Time Capsule.

Over 600 pupils from local schools braved the snow blizzards in Dublin to attend the event, which took place in The CCD's Auditorium. 2010 World Street Performance Winner, Jack Wise entertained the crowd with a mix of magic,  ventriloquism, sword swallowing along and his quick-witted sense of humour.

Earlier this year, The CCD reached out to local schools in the Docklands and East Wall area and invited them to participate in the Time Capsule project. The theme was based on life in the Docklands/Dublin in 2010. Submissions included stories, photos, drawings and craftwork. The Time Capsule was officially sealed on November 24 and it is now housed in a special Time Capsule chamber constructed below the ground just outside the front of the building to the Westside. This chamber is sealed by a manhole cover, which includes a plaque to visibly mark the site.
