DESTINATION DUBLIN

Beyond Dublin

The Emerald Isle on your doorstep

Adare ManorIf you have some time to spare after your event, why not explore Ireland beyond Dublin. With its central location, Dublin is an ideal starting point to discover the rest of Ireland and now with improved road, rail and air links it is even easier to get around the country.

For a short trip, why not visit Dublin’s neighbour, County Wicklow, the ‘garden of Ireland’, home to historic Glendalough, with its monastic stone cells and celtic Round Tower.

Beyond DublinAnother interesting trip close to the capital is Newgrange in county Meath, which is a 5000 year old Passage Tomb famous for the Winter Solstice illumination which lights up the passage and chamber with the Winter Solstice sun.

For a taste of Ireland’s west coast, a popular destination is Galway, a lively city surrounded by the untamed landscape of Connemara.

And to the south, Cork and Kerry offer both spectacular scenery such as Bantry Bay or the Ring of Kerry, together with some of the best restaurants in Ireland.

Venture north and enjoy the scenery of counties Antrim, Down and Derry. The Giant’s Causeway, a natural formation of basalt columns, is a major visitor attraction in north Antrim.

So whatever direction you go in Ireland, you’ll be sure to find something fun and interesting to explore and enjoy.
